Stealing The Scene

(My family and I are watching the extended version of ‘Return of the King’. Two characters are talking during the calm between battles, and one says, ‘I do not believe this darkness will endure.’)

Son: “You’re a ‘glass half full’-type guy, aren’t you?”

Me: *pausing the movie* “Technically, the glass is always full.”

Daughter: “Unless you’re in space.”

Wife: “You’re interrupting a love scene!”
