Spicing Up The Relationship

(My husband often watches videos online about different video games he might be interested in. Since our computers are in the same room, I often end up overhearing them. This particular day, the video was about a town building game that involved trading. We both also love sci-fi and fantasy novels.)

Video: “… trade the spices. Spice must flow!”

Me: “Spice must flow? Really?”

Husband: *sighs contentedly* “I love having a wife that gets references like that.”

Me: “I think that’s one of the nicest compliments you’ve ever given me.”
