(In social studies, we are acting out a town meeting that took place many years in the past. This is when we are discussing what our characters would bring up. Both Student #1 and Student #2 also have Japanese class together.)
Student #1: “Hast thou gotten thou…”
Student #2: “Dude, it’s ‘hast thou gotten thine…’ If you’re going to speak in old English, do it with correct grammar.”
Student #1: “Boku wa—”
Student #2: “Don’t even go there.”
