Sound Advice Ignored
I’m twenty-nine and visiting home. My youngest sister is seventeen and, of course, knows everything and is always right (like many of us were at that age).
A conversation between my mother and me is interrupted by my sister and father walking into the room mid-argument.
Sister: “You never listen to me!”
Dad: “That’s not true!”
Sister: “I asked for concert tickets three times!”
Dad: “And each time I just heard something expensive.”
