Sorry, I’m Just Not That Kind Of Lipid
High School | Learning
| March 18, 2016
(An administrator walks into our AP Biology classroom while we are putting together paper models of lipids. Note: Unsaturated fatty acids have a “kink” or bend in the carbon chain.)
Administrator: “So why are these a different shape from the others?”
Students: *explain the difference between saturated and unsaturated fatty acids*
Teacher: “So how do we remember which fat is good and which fat is bad for your health?”
Students: “KINKY IS GOOD!”
(The administrator looks beyond shocked.)
Teacher: “It always works.”
