Soon You’ll Cry Over Spilled Wine

I approach a woman and worker chatting in the middle of the aisle. They look like they’ve been gossiping for a while. Clearly, they know each other.

Me: “Excuse me.”

They ignore me. They clearly heard me.

Me: “Excuse me.”

Worker: “Yeah, in a minute.”

Me: “No, now!”

The worker says something probably negative about me to the woman. They both move over to the side.

Me: “If you could stop talking for just one minute…”

A crash and the sound of breaking glass come from the next aisle.

Me: “…you would have heard me warn you about… that.”

The woman was so busy talking she didn’t notice that her kid had gotten bored, slipped loose, and was messing around with a display. 

There was red wine all over the floor. Luckily, the kid was okay. But seriously, watch your kids.
