Sometimes This Job Just Blows
Customer: *Hands me an older model of a smartphone.* “I need to get this fixed. My phone won’t charge anymore.”
Me: “Let me take a look at it for you. When did you start having this issue?”
Customer: “It’s been a couple of weeks. It’s just not charging, no matter what charger I use.”
After some troubleshooting, I examine the charging port and find a little bit of dust inside.
Me: “Alright, let me clean the port for you and see if it helps.”
I grab a can of compressed air, blow out the dust, and plug it in again. The screen lights up, and the phone starts charging.
Me: “Looks like the phone’s charging just fine now.”
Customer: “Wow, all it needed was a little blow?”
Me: “Uh… yes. I suppose.”
Customer: “Well, thanks! If it happens again, I’ll be back so you can give my phone a blow job.” *Walks out, totally oblivious.*
