Some Customers Are A Trap!
I was at a local big box store and got to walk up to this fantastic scene.
Employee: “No, ma’am, that’s not something we can do.”
Customer: “But I bought it here!”
Employee: “Ma’am, once it’s paid for, it is no longer our property or responsibility.”
Customer: “But my husband won’t do it!”
Employee: “With all due respect, ma’am, that doesn’t mean the responsibility becomes ours. We do not, nor will we ever, travel to a customer’s home to flip a mousetrap right side up, much less empty it.”
Customer: “But what if I caught one?! You could be on the news with me!”
Employee: “Ma’am, I guarantee you that you will not find a Sasquatch in your mousetrap, in your kitchen.”
Customer: “You’re useless! So much for customer service!”
As the woman storms out, the crowd of onlookers just kind of stand, dumbfounded, for several seconds.
Employee: *With a world-weary expression on his face “Can I help the next sane customer, please?”
