So Much For The Pizza/Sex Metaphor

(I’m out with my family, window shopping. I notice a beautiful dress. Note: I am AFAB — assigned female at birth — and asexual, and I dress in a masculine way. My mother knows all this.)

Me: “Aw, look at that beautiful dress!”

Mum: “Do you want it?”

Me: *huffs* “No. It’s like with sex; I like looking at it, not having it.”

Mum: “What?”

Me: “Um… Let’s pretend I never said that.”
