Sleeping On The Job
(While working for tech support, I have a habit of falling asleep while waiting for calls. When the line beeps I wake up just enough to troubleshoot and put in notes about the call. Years later I am in the car with a couple former coworkers.)
Coworker #1: “I swear I could do my new job in my sleep!”
Me: “I’ve done that.”
Coworker #2: *starts laughing* “I actually know that about you! [Call Center Director] had me listen in on your calls and watch you put in notes because he was convinced you were screwing up and sleeping through the calls, but you did everything PERFECTLY!”
