Slang Really Gets My Goat

| Learning | October 2, 2015

(For an English project, senior year, we had to write about where we want to be in twenty years. One of my classmates says:)

Student: “I want to have a lot of kids.”

(The teacher underlined the word “kids.”)

Teacher: “Kid is a slang term and is not grammatically correct. A kid is a baby goat.”

Student: “Well, maybe I want to have a lot of baby goats!”
