Me: “So we learned about sea-squirts today in my marine biology class.”

Dad: “Oh! I had one of those when I was younger.”

Me: “Did you know that they spit out their intestines as a defense mechanism? They can re-grow them.”

Dad: “Oh.”

(There is a pause and a moment of realisation.)

Dad: “Ooooh.”

Me: “Dad?”

Dad: “I thought it was dead.”
