Shopping In LA Is A Vibe
I work in the women’s clothing section, in a very expensive clothing store on a famous Los Angeles street. We get a lot of… odd types.
Customer: *Holding up two dresses.* “Can I try these on?”
Me: “Of course! The fitting rooms are right this way.”
Customer: *Not moving.* “Are they clean?”
Me: “Yes, we clean and sanitize the fitting rooms regularly.”
Customer: *Still not moving.* “No, like… has anyone sad tried these on before?”
Me: “…Sad?”
Customer: “I’m really sensitive to energy. I don’t want to absorb negative energy.”
Me: “We don’t track… emotional history per garment, but I can show you the ones we just restocked this morning?”
Customer: “Fresh rack energy? Yes, thank you!”
Me: *Rolling with it.* “These just came from the stockroom, so they’re emotionally unprocessed.”
After I make the sale, my coworker says to me:
Coworker: “F****** LA, man…”
