(I’m browsing a website together with my mother, who isn’t computer-savvy.)

Mom: “Okay, now go down a bit.”

(I scroll down the page.)

Mom: “I said down!”

(I scroll to the bottom of the page.)

Mom: “No, DOWN!”

Me: “But this is the bottom; I can’t scroll further down.”

Mom: “No, I meant DOWN!”

(I am getting annoyed.)

Me: “This. Is. The. Bottom.”

Mom: “No! I want the text to go down!”

(I scroll up a bit.)

Mom: “Yes, that’s what I meant!”

Me: “You could have just said: ‘go up’.”

Mom: “But that’s just too confusing!”
