She Really Matched Your Energy

This happened when I was a kid and had recently learned about Newton’s Laws. My mom is a teacher.

Mom: “Your room is filthy! Go clean it up.”

Me: “But Mom, the Law of Entropy states that things become messy over time. Who am I to interfere with physics?”

Mom: “Unless energy is added.”

Me: “What?”

Mom: “Matter tends towards chaos unless energy from an outside source is added. Go add energy.”
