(I am on a holiday in Paris and decide to go on a free walking tour in the morning. As we are walking around the city, the tour guide stops and points out a group of young boys hanging around nearby)

Tour Guide: Be careful, those boys are pick-pockets. Keep your valuables safe!

(I keep a wary eye on them after that, and notice one of the boys carrying a glass bottle with him. Suddenly the boy runs up to a random man on the street and smashes him over the head with it! The police were called out to take the boys away. All happened within the space of about 5 mins. Made me much more cautious after that!)
