(After the headline about the man throwing an alligator through the drive-thru window of a Florida fast-food restaurant circulates on the Internet, I’m IMing a friend who lives in Florida and — the last time I heard — works at that particular chain. I figure it’s a long shot but I decide to ask.)
Me: “I have a bizarre question for you.”
Friend: “Shoot.”
Me: “You work at a [Fast Food Chain], right?”
Friend: “Used to. No, I did not work at THAT one.”
Me: “I love how you knew exactly which one I was referring to.”
