(My sophomore chemistry teacher was… a bit odd. This was his traditional way to start the school year.)
Teacher: “Okay, everybody into the lab!” *herds class out*
Student: “Why?”
Teacher: “We’re going to sacrifice gummy bears to the lab gods so that none of you get injured this year!”
(Sure enough, he mixed two reactive chemicals in a test tube, plugged it with gummy bears, then held it under the fume hood with tongs until enough pressure built up to explode the gummy bears out of the tube! Best-smelling experiment of the year… and none of us got hurt.)
