Saying Bi To Logic

(I am bisexual and the friend in this story was one of the first people I ever told.)

Me: “I was trying to explain to someone at my parents’ church the other day that bi people aren’t automatically promiscuous.”

Friend: “Bi people are promiscuous, though.”

Me: *pointedly* “Excuse me?”

Friend: “Well, you don’t count; you hardly dated anyone before you got married. But discounting people like you, all the bi people I’ve known have dated loads of people.”

Me: “So what you’re telling me is that if you discount all the people who aren’t promiscuous then all bi people are promiscuous?”
