Say Nude To Drugs

(I am working on my university theatre’s production of Hair. Before class, I am discussing the department’s decision to still have a performance for high school students, but make the actors wear clothes during the “nude love-in.”)

Me: “I just don’t see the point. The show will still have all the references to drugs and sex. H***, there’s a song called ‘Sodomy.’ What makes them think that just removing the nudity will make the show any more appropriate for high-schoolers?”

Classmate: *sarcastically sweet* “Because, EVERYBODY’S done drugs, but NOT everybody’s been NAKED.”
