(I have had a crush on my friend’s older brother for several months, and a couple months back mentioned it to my sister, who doesn’t have a very good memory and often mixes things up. Note that I am a female and straight.)
Me: “So I had this great conversation with my crush today.”
Sister: “Who’s your crush again? Oh wait, that was your friend’s sister, wasn’t it?”
Me: “Wait – WHAT!?”
Sister: “You’re crush is your friend’s siter, right?”
Me: “Er, no…”
Sister: “Did I say something wrong?”
Me: “(Sister’s name), I. Am. Not. Gay.”
