Sadly, This Is Why Women Have To Take Responsibility
A woman walks into the pharmacy.
Female Customer: “Can I get some Plan B?”
A male customer waiting for a prescription at another counter overhears and… of course, overshares.
Male Customer: “You should be more careful!”
Female Customer: “None of your business, but it was him that should have been more careful! I’m here today because he screwed up!”
Male Customer: “It’s the woman’s responsibility!”
Female Customer: “Whatever, screw you dude.”
I fetch and sell her what she needs, and she leaves. The male customer, apparently still not happy he hasn’t shared ALL his opinions on the matter, continues with me.
Male Customer: “She should be on birth control.”
Me: “Well, there are male birth control options too, so couples can share the responsibility.”
Male Customer: “Oh, h*** no! A real man would never take those! All those hormones messing with the body!”
Me: “What do you think the female pill does?”
Male Customer: “It closes their tubes so the sperm can’t enter. How come you work in a pharmacy and not know this?”
Thankfully at that point, his prescriptions were ready!
