Sadder But Wiser

(I’m in art class, and the teacher says to do whatever you want, with anything you want. I start drawing a face with a very sad expression. The teacher comes by to peer at it, and frowns, but says nothing. Later, I draw a very happy face next to it. The teacher sees it and sighs with relief.)

Teacher: “Oh, thank goodness! I thought we’d have to get you therapy, [My Name]!”
