Rife With ‘ife’

(My friend and I are hanging out and playing video games when we take a break to eat some ramen.)

Me: “Eat spaghetti to forgetti your regretti… Wait, but we’re eating ramen. What would you say for ramen?”

Friend: “Eat ramen to drown your sorrows.”

Me: “But that doesn’t rhyme.”

Friend: “Life doesn’t rhyme. The only thing life rhymes with is strife.”

Me: “But life also rhymes with… uh… fife.”

Friend: “Good point. Um… fifing makes life a strife.”

Me: “It also rhymes with, uh… wife!”

Friend: “Your fifing wife makes life a strife.”

Me: “And…” *pauses for a few moments* “…knife!”

Friend: “Your fifing wife with a knife makes life a strife.”
