Student #1: “…and in one book she uses Wuthering Heights!”

Student #2: “But maybe if they read Twilight and they see the reference, it might make them want to read Wuthering Heights.”

Me: “But if they are used to Twilight, and expect Twilight when they read Wuthering Heights, they’ll hate Wuthering Heights!”

Student #3: “I think I’d rather have Harry Potter be the gateway drug to reading than Twilight.”
