(I’m a guy with a goatee. I’m chatting with my [female] fiancée on Facebook, and she sends me a story about facial hair having health benefits.)

Me: “There’s a friend I need to send this to.”

Fiancée: “Oh, dear.”

Me: “Oddly, the friend in question is female.”

Fiancée: “What?!”

Me: “She’s very pro-beard.”

Fiancée: “Ah. To be fair, they’re growing on me.”

(Pause.)

Fiancée: “Um, that didn’t come out right…”
