Reaching That Stage In Their Relationship

(My boyfriend and I are sitting in my room. I am on the bed, and he is on the bean bag chair, about ten feet away.)

Me: *reaches out* “Affection!”

Boyfriend: *reaches his arm out as well* “Affection!”

(We both continue to strain our arms, but it’s obvious we’re not going to touch.)

Me: “Eh, close enough. Or you could just come here!”

Boyfriend: “Nah, you come here.”

Me: “Ugh! I’m too lazy to relationship right now.”

Boyfriend: “Me, too. I’ll just stay here and pretend I’m cuddling you!”

Me: “Ditto.”
