Putting The Love Into Lovecraft, Part 3

| Romantic | May 20, 2014

(My fiancé and I are both pursuing careers in the film industry – he in animation, I in storyboarding. We’ve been long distance for three years. Both of us have very active and busy lives, and so we often have to get creative to help close the distance. The following conversation takes place via text message.)

Fiancé: I want to write your name in the sky.

Me: That is equal parts romantic and confusing.

Fiancé: Just roll with it.

Me: I am trying to finish a really creepy sequence for my storyboarding class and you are ruining my Lovecraftian vibe with your romance.

Me: I would battle demons and brave the deepest darkness for you.

Me: (I gotta follow the theme. Forgive me.)

Fiancé: Sorry, babe. I’ll let you get back to being a terrifying goddess of the darkness that haunts the souls of men.

Me: You’ll always be my favorite peon to oppress, darling.
