Privacy Isn’t Given Much Credit Nowadays

(I’m placing my order at a fast food restaurant. Everything is normal until the cashier takes my credit card.)

Cashier: “Your total is [total].”

Me: *hands over my card*

Cashier: “Oh wow, that design is really cute! Can I get a picture?”

(As he says this, he pulls out his phone and starts to line it up for a photo.)

Me: “Um, I’d really rather you not, please!”

Cashier: *blankly* “Why not? It’s just a picture.”

Me: “It has my credit card number on it. That’s pretty personal information.”

Cashier: “Oh, I guess you’re right…”
