Pottering Around The Workplace
(Marijuana is legal in my state, but our workplace still drug tests and forbids the use of it. I take prescription marijuana before bed for a range of sleep and pain disorders, and I’m a manager at this store.)
Coworker: *whispering* “It smells like pot in our office.”
Me: “Oh, god, I hope it’s not my purse.”
Coworker: “…Do you have pot in your purse?”
Me: “Not at the moment.”
Coworker: “D***, guess I can’t tell you about the flask I have in mine, then.”
(We later determined the smell was filtering in from the party supplies store next door to us.)
