Potentially Defy-Aunt

(My youngest sister and her two children have recently moved in with me. We’re watching TV, when my six-year-old nephew comes up to me.)

Nephew: “I am going to stay with you forever.”

Me: “What about your mom?”

Nephew: “No. I want to stay with you.”

(I look over to my sister for fear he had hurt her feelings. She has her hands over her head in glee, with a big smile on her face. I can hear her silent ‘Yahoo!’.)
