Picking On You Individually
I’ve been working at a toy store for two and a half years, but because I’m sixteen, a lot of customers assume that I don’t know what I’m talking about so they give me a hard time. This customer has been particularly difficult, but I have managed to keep my patience.
Customer: “I need those wrapped!”
Me: “Sure, ma’am! Separately?”
Customer: “No! Individually!“
Me: “Oh… Okay.”
Customer: “Separately!“
Me: “Sounds good. Did you want me to white-out the printed price on the book?”
Customer: “Does that mean that the price will be hidden?!”
Me: *Pause* “Yes, ma’am. That’s what whiteout does.”
