Me: “[Auto Parts Store], how can I help you?”
Caller: “I need you guys to clear my check engine light.”
Me: “State regulations don’t allow me to do that, sir.”
Caller: “My car isn’t working right, and I need you to clear it so it works fine.”
Me: “Wait, your car isn’t working so you want me to clear your engine light because that will fix your car?”
Caller: “Yes! That’s what I’ve been saying.”
Me: “That’s not how that works, sir. You actually have to get the car fixed for it to function properly.”
Caller: “F*** you! I’m just going to go somewhere where they know what they’re doing!”
