(I take a phone call.)
Sales Rep: “Hello, Ma’am! My name is [Name] from [Phone Company]. I was wondering if you’d be interested in learning how YOU can SAVE MONEY by switching to our phone service?”
Me: “I’m sorry. I don’t own a phone.”
Sales Rep: “Oh! I’m so sorry, ma’am!”
(The sales rep hangs up. I stare at the phone for a second and then hang up, too.)
