Overly Political(ly Incorrect)

(It’s the first day of the semester and I enter a class being taught by a grad student. I’m the only girl in a nine-person class and the instructor is going through the syllabus.)
Instructor: “Throughout the semester we’ll be watching some movies. I’m going to show you a scene from one now. I think you guys will like it.”
(He looks at me and gets his eyes big.)
Instructor: “Guys and girls. We have one girl in this class. Males and females both will like it. Not just guys.”
