Over-Time Is Under-Achieving

I work in an office from 8:30 AM to about 5:30 PM. I’ve finished off a task and am logging off at my desk about 5:35 PM.

Coworker: “Oh, leaving so early?”

Me: “I finish at 5:30 PM, same as you.”

Coworker: *Smug.* “Well, I pride myself on working late every day.”

Me: “You need to work more hours to do the same work as me?”

He stopped boasting after that.
