A customer walks into the store wearing a hoodie with the Confederate flag on it. He seems to be walking around, trying to be as visible as possible. He doesn’t even seem to be looking for anything to buy; he’s just trying to be edgy and cause a scene.
He gets a few odd looks, but nothing too crazy. He finally grabs an energy drink and walks up to pay.
Me: “That’s, [total], please.”
Customer: *Stretching, to show off his hoodie.* “Uh huh.”
Me: *Blank stare.*
Customer: “Does my hoodie offend you?”
Me: “No, just confuses me. I thought they replaced that flag with the white surrender flag back in 1865?”
He walked out without paying, without his drink, and without another word.
