Once The Sign Is Flipped, It’s Time For The Most Dangerous Game

I worked in a store that was shut down due to financial issues, among other things. Five minutes after closing on the last day we were open, we were pretty sure there was no one left, but just to be safe, we made an announcement.

Announcement: “Attention, shoppers. The time is now [time], and we have been closed for five minutes. We will not be reopening tomorrow or ever again. Please proceed to the checkout, where will be happy to assist you. Otherwise, you will be hunted for sport. Thanks for shopping with us, and have a great night.”

Safe to say, after about a minute, no one was left in the store except staff.
