(I’m in my world history class, and we’re talking about prejudice and being excluded due to race, gender, sexual orientation, etc. It’s important to note that my classmate in the story is African-American.)
Teacher: “So, can anyone give me an example of a time they were excluded for one of these reasons?”
Classmate: “Yeah, man. Clan meetings.”
(The whole class, including the teacher, erupts in laughter.)
