Caller: *In a panic.* “I need insurance for my car, right now!”
Me: “Okay, can I ask why the urgency?”
Caller: “I’m standing in line to get license plates for my car and I just realized I need proof of valid insurance!”
Somehow, after years of performing this task, this person is suddenly unaware of this requirement.
Me: “Okay, I need the VIN and mileage.”
Caller: “I don’t know that.”
Me: “What about the the year, make, model of the car?”
Caller: “I don’t know, but I have to have the insurance now because my temporary tags are expired!”
I couldn’t help them. I’m sorry they didn’t understand how life works. I can’t just magically insure a vehicle!
