Not Giving You A Sporting Chance To Know
I run the tech for the high school sports teams once I’m done with my teaching days. I put the team sponsors up on the scoreboard in between quarters. The lady who runs the booster program and sells the ads is known to be a little… out there.
It’s midseason, everything is set up, and the advertisements are running on the scoreboard before the basketball game.
Client: *Running to me* “No, no, no, no, no! Those ads are all wrong!“
Me: “Oh, I didn’t know they had changed. You never sent me anything.”
Client: “There are seven new sponsors! They already paid good money, and you’re telling me their ads haven’t been running on the scoreboard?! The season is almost over!”
It isn’t.
Me: “Did you ever send me any to add to the rotation?”
Client: “No.”
I don’t know how she thought I had the ability to read her thoughts, but she wouldn’t be the first.
