Me: “Hi, can I get 1/8 of the honey ham and 1/8 of the cheddar?”
Employee: “Is that, like, a half a pound?”
Me: “No, it’s 1/8… 0.125?”
(The employee eyes me like I’m nuts. They incorrectly put 1/4 pound on the scale.)
Employee: “Okay… that much?”
Me: “Half that.”
Employee: Really? Who would have thought it was that easy!”
