Nobody Wants To Work Anymore — AND THIS IS WHY

I am sitting in an office waiting room, waiting for a job interview. I overhear two managers arguing loudly in the hallway.
Manager #1: “We need this task done by Monday.”
Manager #2: “Shall we ask [Worker] to do it? They’re quite new, so they might be willing.”
Manager #1: “No, I tried to get them to work over the weekend last month, and they asked how much overtime they would get.”
Manager #2: “Ugh! All these f****** young people. All they wanna do is get paid!”
These two managers calmed down and then introduced themselves to me as my interviewers. I got the interview over and done with as quickly as possible and did not accept their surprisingly fast job offer.
