No Continuity In His Explanation

(We are just about to start lecture in an early-morning chemical engineering course.)
Professor: “Okay, now we’re going to create the continuity equation. Don’t worry, it’s not that hard. There’s not even any math involved. Well, there’s some algebra; I guess that’s math. But there’s no calculus!… Well, actually, there is a little bit of calculus, but it’s not hard. And there are some numbers… Actually, there’s no numbers. The point is, it’s not that hard. You will see.”
