Nintendo Flapjack Versus Google Jelly Bean

(My grandmother is in her late sixties, and occasionally babysits my younger cousins. They are selling their Wii, and my gran is telling me and my mum about the experience.)

Grandmother: “So we’re in the shop, and the man there says that he’ll give us money for the Wii if we have all the things. He looks through and says they’re missing…something. The controllers… Jacqueline, you have a Wii, what’re they called?”

Mum: “No, mum, I don’t have a Wii, the controllers—”

Grandmother: “No, no. He called them something else…”

(She looks at me.)

Me: “I don’t know.”

Grandmother: “Flapjacks? Is that it?”

Me: “Nun-chucks?”

Grandmother: “Yes, those.”
