Needs The TV Wand

(I’m watching TV with my brother and husband, and want to change the channel, but I don’t want to get up to get the remote. I start pointing at the remote and waving my hand at it.)

Me: *pointing at remote* “Accio remote!”

(Brother and Husband look over.)

Me: *still pointing* “ACCIO REMOTE!”

(Nobody moves.)

Me: *still pointing* “ACCIO REMOTE, D*** IT!”

Husband: *sighs, picks up the remote, and brings it to me*

Me: “SEE! HARRY POTTER IS REAL! MAGIC WORKS!”

Brother: *to my husband* “Why do you encourage her?”
