Boys Will Be Boyfriends

(My husband is a truck driver, and trains new long-haul drivers for his company. Normally, he just trains the drivers and sends them on their way. Recently, he has found one that he bonded with, and they have become best friends. This makes him ignore me a bit. I am a little bummed out because of this.)

Me: “We don’t talk as much as we used to, and I am feeling ignored. I understand that you have a new friend, but you can’t forget about me.”

Husband: “But I have a boyfriend now!”

Me: “Uhm…”

(This was over a year ago, and I still tease him about it.)
