Sacrifice A Lot For Your Marriage

(It’s my parent’s 19th anniversary, and my parents are talking about gifts to get each other.)

Dad: “What’s 19 supposed to be? I know there are different things you’re supposed to do for different numbers.”

Me: *I am the second kid, and a girl* “Which anniversary do you sacrifice your first-born son? [Brother] had his chance.”

Dad: “That’s a little dark, honey.”

Mom: “Anyway, you know it’s always a young girl of marriageable age, so it’d be you.”

Dad: “You guys are creepy.”
