Moving On From That Friendship
A friend needs help moving stuff from her attic to the garage and asks if I can help. I don’t have a car, so I say that if she can pick me up, yeah, I’d be glad to help. She won’t even need to pay me.
The day comes, and she sends me a text.
Friend: “Since I’m picking you up, could you pay me gas money? It’s a long drive out to where you live.”
She wanted ME to give HER money so I could help HER move something FOR FREE.
I flat-out told her no and that she could figure out how to move the stuff on her own; I was suddenly very busy.
