(This dialogue occurs between a friend of mine and her five-year-old son at dinner:)

Son: “Thank you for the new thermos, mom. I always wanted one. You made my dream come true.”

Mom: “Oh, that’s sweet honey! What other dreams do you have?”

Son: “I dream I never have to eat this ham again.”
